The man charged with reckless conduct after he allegedly fired a gun at Mickey’s Massive Burritos wants a private attorney who knows about guns. That’s what 63-year old Richard Venegas told Judge H. Chris Ryan Wednesday during his first appearance. Police believe Venegas accidentally shot his brother Mickey when the gun went off, which is why he’s charged with reckless conduct. Mickey is still recovering at a Rockford hospital. Judge Ryan set Richard’s next court date for May 31st to appear with his lawyer if he has one.
