Cliffs Insane Terrain Off-Road Park in Marseilles is not allowed to sell fireworks. The city council voted no on changing an ordinance to allow it. It was a 4-1 vote. Mayor Jim Hollenbeck and some council members weren’t in favor of it in the first place because of how many calls the police department gets about scared pets and veterans suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.
