The city of Marseilles is doing more improvement projects. Mayor Jim Hollenbeck says the city is going to apply for another Open Spaces Land Acquisition and Development Grant to make upgrades to Knudson Park. One project would create a new stage and pavilion. He says it makes sense to move the pavilion.
The city council approved paying Hitchcock Design Group $15,900 to design what the upgrades would look like. The city also approved paying about $8,500 for B&G Electric Group to install underground power service at the city’s boat launch.
Hollenbeck says the city wants to add some picnic shelters too so families can have picnics and do other things at the launch.
