The bow-and-arrow murder retrial for 29-year old Bradley French is now set for August. Prosecutors asked Judge H. Chris Ryan to change the dates. French’s new trial date is August 14th. The Varna man is accused of shooting and killing 38-year old Joshua Scaman at Illinois Valley Community College with a razor-tipped arrow in 2015. His lawyer Maureen Williams won’t be able to defend him or her other clients for some time. Starting next Tuesday her law license will be suspended after she asked a friend to lie about the community service hours she needed to complete after getting a speeding ticket in Woodford County.
