LaSalle City Council supports a Vietnam War Memorial in Rotary Park

33 Vietnam Veterans from LaSalle could be honored with a new memorial. Resident and Combat Veteran Scott Edward Heyob asked the LaSalle City Council on Monday if they would support it. The council said yes after taking a straw vote. Heyob wants the memorial to be at Rotary Park next to where flags are flown. He says it would be a great place for family members to remember their relatives who died while fighting.
