LaSalle County Republican Party Chairman Larry Smith says indicting former president Donald Trump will motivate Trump’s supporters in the 2024 presidential race. Smith says they’ll see it as another big attempt to derail his campaign. He thinks the prosecutor bringing the case is wrong.
Smith doesn’t think it’ll bother Trump very much. He says Trump will hire people to deal with it. What’s in the indictment probably won’t be public for at least a few days.
