Walls are going up for the new Ottawa YMCA. The first pre-cast wall was installed Monday morning. Executive Director Joe Capece says the organization has been blessed with a mild winter which is why construction is going so quickly. The project is also on time and on budget. Twelve walls are supposed to be put up by the end of the day Monday. The $25 million project is expected to be done in 2024. The new Y will have a multi-use gymnasium, a natatorium, group exercise studios, and a kid’s adventure center.
