A Mendota man could have a trial as soon as next month on charges he got two weeks ago for allegedly hurting someone in his family and attacking the police who arrested him. Forty-three year old Anil Bhate is charged with domestic battery, aggravated battery, resisting police, and more. Judge Cynthia Raccuglia Thursday scheduled a trial for April 17. Prosecutors say Bhate kicked the police who found him hiding in the basement at a home he’s not supposed to be living in since a domestic battery case in 2021. He was arrested on a new domestic battery charge last month.
