Weekly COVID report: No new deaths, current and new COVID cases up

For the first time in eight weeks, current COVID-19 cases in LaSalle County went up. The LaSalle County Health Department reported 861 current cases this week compared to 823 last week. New cases outnumber new cases for the first time in eight weeks as well. The health department reported 113 new cases with only 75 recoveries this week. There have been 36,819 new total cases so far with 35,958 recoveries. For the first time in more than a month, there were no deaths from COVID in LaSalle County this week. The Centers for Disease Control still has LaSalle County at the low community spread level.
