State of the State reaction: Rep. Lance Yednock says governor address is the first step in negotiating budget

St. Rep Lance Yednock of Ottawa says the governor’s State of the State Address is the first step in the long process of negotiating the state’s spending plan. He says he wants to thoroughly review the budget and meet with local leaders and stakeholders to ensure all voices are heard in Springfield. The Ottawa Democrat also says he wants to push for a fair and responsible budget that invests in our schools, supports seniors, and provides the resources people need to keep communities safe. He says it’s critical to recognize the challenges so many families, small businesses, and communities are experiencing right now.
