A channel repeater for the Ottawa Police and Fire Department has been upgraded. Police Chief Brent Roalson says the repeater was replaced on the city water tower on Stevenson Rd. He says the city first got a 50 watt repeater although they were looking to get one with 100 watts. The upgrade didn’t affect the police department but fire the department was testing its radios to make sure they worked.
