A local skateboarder thinks it’s time for the 20-year old Ottawa skate park to get an upgrade. Dick Chavez and some friends will ask the city’s Playground and Recreation Board to work with them on some ideas. That meeting will be tomorrow night (Thursday, February 9) at 7pm.
Chavez says the removable, metal pieces should be replaced with concrete fixtures. He’s inviting others with ideas to get involved via Instagram with the SK8IV group.
