Peru mayor still looking for answers in St. Margaret’s Health’s sudden closure

Peru Mayor Ken Kolowski says he wants to leave no stone unturned in finding the answers to why St. Margaret’s Health Peru closed so quickly. At the Peru City Council meeting last night, he said he’s been in contact with St. Sen Sue Rezin and St. Rep Lance Yednock to get new updates. Right now, he says there is nothing new. Although he says both representatives are looking into making SMP a rural emergency hospital. He also says that he still has more questions after the Zoom meeting held with the local state representatives and officials with St. Margaret’s Health. St. Margaret’s Health Peru closed on Saturday.
