Illinois Valley Community College wants people know how the college changed their life. It’s for the 2023 Paul Simon Student Essay contest which is now open for submissions. Any student full or part-time is eligible. The essay must be 500 words or less and should be submitted to the community relations office by Friday, February 24th. The winning essay will win $300 and will get to read the essay at the May 13th commencement. It will also be entered into Illinois Community College Trustees Association statewide contest where one person will be chosen to win $500.
