LaSalle City Engineer Brian Brown says an important project for residents will be negotiated by the city. Instead of bonding out a project to repaint the city’s water tower north of Utica, the city will negotiate with Veolia Water Technologies to repaint and maintain the water tower. He says the company also tested and inspected the other three water towers the city uses. The city will pay for the projects over time.
He says the company the city hires will inspect the tower first and then could maintain it for several years afterward.
Brown also says each water tower will get its own negotiated contract for repainting and maintenance.
