76th District St. Rep. Lance Yednock of Ottawa is the new chairman of the Illinois Veterans’ Affairs Committee. He had been on the committee in the previous two Illinois General Assemblies. Yednock says he will continue to serve as a strong voice for residents of the LaSalle veteran’s home as the chairman. The committee works with the Illinois Department of Veterans’ Affairs to listen to the concerns of veterans while providing them with the proper resources they need to live a successful, fulfilling life. He also says as chair he will use the full weight of his position to make sure Illinois is a supportive home for those who served.
