(Chicago, IL) — Some northern Illinois residents could see their electric bills go up next year. ComEd filed a request yesterday for record-high four-year, one-point-five-billion-dollar rate increase. If approved by the state, ComEd customers will pay an average of 17-dollars-per-month more for delivery charges by 2027. The Illinois Commerce Commission is expected to issue a decision by December.
