State lawmakers will be sworn in for the new terms Wednesday. Different parts of LaSalle County will have Democrat Lance Yednock and Republicans Jed Davis, Bradley Fritts, and Dennis Tipsword representing them in the Illinois House. The county’s state senators will be Republicans Tom Bennett, Win Stoller, and Sue Rezin.
Members of the U.S. House were sworn in Saturday. Democrat Lauren Underwood will have part of LaSalle County and Republican Darin LaHood will have the rest. They would have been sworn in sooner, but the House had trouble choosing its Speaker and that had to be settled first.
