Steven E. Treest, 62, of Marseilles, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2023 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, January 8, at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with Rev. Duane Kaufman officiating.
He was born August 31, 1960 in Ottawa to Donald and Edna (Alison) Treest. He was married to Tamara Godwin who preceded him in death in 1982.
Steve was employed as a carpenter until his retirement. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping and fishing at the “Swanson’s”, their spot on the river.
Steve is survived by one daughter, Brandy Vize; two granddaughters, Tammy Godwin and Sabrina Vize; a sister, Debbie Sampson of Marseilles; many nieces and nephews; and his dog, Marley.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Tamara; three brothers, Gordon, Martin, and Norman Treest; and one sister, Bonnie Cooper.
