Ottawa River Rescue suggests learning CPR for new year’s resolution

By WCMY News Jan 3, 2023 | 10:32 AM

The Ottawa River Rescue Squad says if your new year’s resolution is to learn something new, CPR is a good choice. Medical Officer Wendy Brown is coordinating a class next Wednesday night from 6pm to 9pm at the rescue squad building on Hitt St. She says anyone who wants to learn CPR can register for the $10 class, because anyone could end up saving a life.

That’s what happened when someone gave CPR to Damar Hamlin on the football field Monday night.

Brown says the rescue squad offers CPR classes every month. And she takes the class to workplaces that are interested. Contact her at wbrown_3@yahoo.com to find out more or to sign up for the class.
