A man in his 60’s died from COVID-19 this week according to the LaSalle County Health Department’s weekly report. He is the 506th death in the county so far. In the final weekly LaSalle County COVID-19 report of 2022, current cases have fallen for a third straight week to 1,113. New cases have fallen for a second week in a row and recoveries outnumbered new cases this week. But the county has surpassed 36,000 total cases so far with 34,893 recoveries. LaSalle County remains in the low community spread level according to the Center for Disease Control.
