Some people were happy for the law firm that did it. Others vowed never to take any business there. And it’s one of our top stories of 2022. Ohio artist Greg Ackers painted the Ottawa as a Canal Town mural on what was the Mr. Penguin/Jim’s Formal Wear building in 2003.
That business has since closed and plans came out in 2016 for a new owner to paint over the image and cut holes in the wall for windows. The painting over part happened in September last year. The Justice Law Firm is using the building now and its founder owns it through a limited liability company. He didn’t return calls asking for comment.
