Except for essential services, all LaSalle County government office buildings and departments closed at 12:30 this afternoon. They’ll reopen Tuesday. LaSalle County Emergency Management Agency Director Fred Moore says that’s because of the blowing snow. Strong winds and the lightness of the snow are combining to make it hard to see roadways clearly. A winter storm warning remains in effect for the area until 6am Saturday.
