A man in his 100’s is the 505th person to die so far from COVID-19 in LaSalle County according to the health department’s weekly report. New coronavirus cases also outnumbered recoveries new cases for the first time in more than a month. There were 180 new cases and 121 recoveries this week. Current cases also went up this week. Last week there were 1,070. The health department reported 1,129 current cases this week out of 35,733 total cases so far. There have also been a total of 34,604 recoveries. But LaSalle County remains in the low community spread level for the virus according to the Centers for Disease Control.
