There are two new judges on the Third District Appellate Court in Ottawa. Judges Linda Davenport and Adrienne Albrecht are filling seats after Justice Mary K O’Brien was elected to the Illinois Supreme Court and Justice Eugene Daugherity retired after serving 21 years. Davenport has been a judge since 2006 when she was appointed as an Associate Judge in the 18th Judicial Circuit. She also served in the Domestic Relations Division. Albrecht has also started as a judge in 2006 in the 21st Judicial Circuit until her retirement in 2022. During her time she served on several Illinois Supreme Court committees including the e-Business Policy Board. Both terms for the new judges could be retained in 2024.
