Michael Carretto, 75 of Ottawa, IL, passed away Monday, December 5, 2022 at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center.
Graveside service will be on Wednesday, December 14, at 11:00am at St. Columba Cemetery.
Michael was born December 14, 1946, in Ottawa, IL to Philip and Lois (Bonges) Carretto.
Mike loved working on jigsaw puzzles and watching school sporting events of his friends children, playing tennis and billiards. He was also an avid reader.
In his younger years, he enjoyed traveling, especially to Hilton Head, SC. He was a public accountant working originally for Garrity & Nourie, Nourie Accounting, becoming a partner which became Nourie, Carretto & Associates and later sole owner of Carretto & Associates. His clients looked forward to his yearly tax letter.
He served in the Air Force for 4 years.
He is survived by his his siblings, Debbie (Steve McCaddon) Harke, Steve Carretto, Philip Scott Carretto, Jeff (Jennifer) Carretto, Carrie (Tim) Orr and Christine (Gary)
English; and many nieces, nephews and special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister-in-laws, Linda and Jo Ann Carretto.
