A Streator woman who was scheduled for trial in a drug bust shooting case next week is trying to work out a deal. The lawyer for 26-year old Alaina Cravatta asked Thursday for time to see if she can be evaluated for an intense probation program meant for people with drug use issues. Judge H. Chris Ryan agreed and scheduled Cravatta for a case update in February. Her alleged partner in crime, 20-year old Courtney Perkins of Streator, is accused of shooting at the police officer who arrested Cravatta during a bust in Streator in September. He’s scheduled for a trial next month.
