Mendota man pleads guilty to strangling puppy to death

A Mendota man has pleaded guilty to strangling a four month old puppy to death. 20-year old Lucas Ramey will be back in court on January 19th for sentencing. LaSalle police were called to a home in the 500 block of Bucklin St. on September 2nd after Ramey’s girlfriend apparently reported the puppy had died. Ramey told police that he strangled the animal to death out of frustration. The dog was found by police wrapped up in a garbage bag.
