Instead of waiting until January for a new list of committee assignments, LaSalle County Board members are expected to get them Monday. That’s the first day the newly elected members will meet. Chairman Don Jensen says he couldn’t wait with a turnover of nine members and some committees about to have too few people for a quorum. He says members have had their chance to ask for assignments.
The current board will meet for the last time at one Monday afternoon, take care of what little last minute business there is, and then have a swearing-in for the new terms.
