The Ottawa Chris Kringle Market started last weekend. Stephanie Stacey with Floret Events says there was a good crowd for Friday and Saturday with Sunday having less people because of the rain. This year there will be between eighty to ninety vendors for the next three weekends. Fridays the market will open from 4-8, Saturdays it will be from 11-8, and Sundays the market opens from 11-5. She says the Chris Kringle market is similar to a German market. But Ottawa’s it more than just local businesses.

Some of the vendors will set up next to Washington Square Park while others will be in the Jordan Block. Stacey also says there is one reason tourists like to come to Ottawa for the market. It’s about the small town feel the city has.
