The Ottawa Area Chamber of Commerce is looking for a ground floor office. It could rent one from Illinois Valley Community College, if the college is allowed to sublet. IVCC rents the Ottawa Center from the city of Ottawa for $115,000 per year. Mayor Dan Aussem says an agreement has been reached to extend IVCC’s lease expiring next summer to June 2028 and to allow a sublease.
The City Council put the agreement on file this past week. IVCC has had the Ottawa Center since 2010.
