The traffic lights in Marseilles could be coming down for the winter. Mayor Jim Hollenbeck said back in June that the traffic lights were put there for the Commercial and Broadway Street realignment project. City Engineer Mike Etscheid says they are also being used because workers are putting a wearing surface on the North mill race bridge just past the traffic lights. He says that crews might be able to blacktop half of the bridge if the weather gets warmer next week. The tempreture needs to be above 45 degress before blacktop could be put down. He also says the last of the concrete was poured for the realignment project. But some more work needs to be done in front of the Circle K gas station on Main Street before the project is completed.
