Streator High School’s superintendent wants the city of Streator to help pay for land so they can make a new parking lot. Scott Cameron says the school district is going to build a vocational center across from the school’s agriculture building and parking spaces would be lost because of it.

Cameron says he wants to have the security cameras because teachers and staff would use the parking lot. He also says he’s heard about vandalism happening near City Park, so lighting will be installed as well. He says the district will take care of everything if the city helps them pay for the land. Mayor Tara Bedei says the city will decide what to do at a future meeting.
