Hot wheel bearing causes small field fires northeast of Utica

A hot wheel bearing that came off of a semi caused three small brush fires along Interstate 80 eastbound northeast of Utica Monday. Utica Fire Lt. Jody Henry says two of the smaller fires took about fifteen minutes to put out. But a third fire took about thirty minutes to put out. That required both the Utica and Wallace Fire Departments to do it. Henry says there was some smoke but not enough to cause any issues for drivers. No one was hurt.
