County Park Director to look for quotes to knock down Catlin House

LaSalle County Parks Director Ken Henze will look for quotes to knock down the Catlin House at Catlin Park. Henze told the County Board Property Committee last week that he wants to call Illinois Valley Excavating and other companies that might be interested. But before the house is knocked down, he wants to bid out projects to turn off the electricity and make sure the pluming is off. Two parks directors had lived in the house when the Catlin family donated the land to the county. But now it’s too run down to live in.
