Because of rising costs for materials to make costumes and sets, the Ottawa High School Theater Department is running a fundraiser. Sally Taliani with the theater departments says it’s not like a fundraiser where people buy cookies or wrapping paper. Student involved in the theater are sending people a link to a website called SNAP! Raise. They’ll send the link to 20 emails and ask them for a donation. She says it’s not like a fundraisers where people buy candy or wrapping paper.
The department has raised about $4,700 as of Friday according to SNAP! Raise. The department is looking to raise about $7,500.
