Voting remains steady at Ottawa polling precincts on Election Day

By WCMY News Nov 8, 2022 | 12:27 PM

It’s been a steady day at most polling precincts in Ottawa. That’s according to Election Judges James Smith and Wilbur Zeal. Smith says votes in this midterm has already exceeded the primary election.

Marshall Walhstrom Heldron , an election judge at the Knights River’s Edge Event Center also known as the Knight’s of Columbus, says he’s seen people of different ages coming to vote Tuesday.

Election Judge Karen Pillion says it’s even been busy while she’s working at the Wallace Township Building. One voter told WCMY that she’s voting today because there needs to be a change not only in Illinois but across the nation. Polls opened at 6am this morning and will close at 7pm this evening. But if you are in line when the polls close, you will be allowed to vote.
