According to judges from the Illinois High School Association, Hall High School in Spring Valley has the best concession stand pork chop sandwich. It was announced last week that the school won the Pork and Pigskins Competition. Hall Booster Organization Pres. Kelli Whightsil says making the pork chops has been a thirty year tradition at the school and the people who make them take a lot of pride in doing it. She says school has been grilling the pork chops for the last thirty years.

But before the pork chops are judged, the school had to beat nearly sixty other schools to make it to the finals.

The school gets a $500 reimbursement check to go toward purchasing pork. They will also get a golden spatula and a state champion banner.
