Some Ottawa residents will be receiving a new magazine in their mail. The magazine titled Visions 141 focuses on what’s happening in the Ottawa Elementary School District. Supt. Michelle Lee says the district is working with a company called Journey 12, which makes the magazines as well as podcasts and postcards about what’s going on the district. Lee says one of the stories in the first edition of the magazine is about Jefferson Elementary School third grader Reagan Rodriguez.
The magazine will also have stories about the staff in the district. Lee says this is a great way to make a connection to the community. One of the podcasts will feature the head janitor in the district. There has also been a postcard sent out which talks about the new therapy dog in the district.
