The crowd in Ottawa’s Washington Park Saturday afternoon was there for the Out of the Darkness Walk. Local attorney Alexis Ferracuti started the annual event six years ago for suicide prevention in honor of a friend who died of it. There’s more than the walk now.
There were auctions to raise money Saturday.
There were speeches and other activities Ferracuti says were meant to give a message of hope and healing.
