The Ottawa Area Chamber of Commerce is looking for businesses for their upcoming job fair. It will be on Thursday, November 3rd from one to five at the Salvation Army in Ottawa. Membership Services Coordinator Julia Petterson says several businesses have already applied. But if there is a business that’s still interested they can apply on the chamber’s website.
She says the chamber emailed several businesses about the job fair and will try to fit as many in as they can. Each business will get a table at the job fair, but they can also give a one-side information sheet about what they are hiring for to the chamber as well.
Businesses like Nicor Gas, All About Personnel, and Ottawa Dental Laboratory have already made reservations. The last day a businesses can reserve a spot is Thursday, October 27th. Petterson also says North Central Area Transit will attend to give out resources to job seekers who don’t have reliable transportation.
