After thirty four years working as a public works superintendent, Paul Rivett is retiring. He worked for the last ten years in Marseilles. But he worked in Seneca for the previous twenty-four years. Rivett says he’s fixed a lot including a water tower on the south side that froze after a polar vortex in 2013.
While on the job he was in charge of three water plants, took care of the streets, and watched over the parks and the public pool. The city celebrated his retirement with a party after last week’s city council meeting.
