Roger E. Hustis, 63, of Marseilles, passed away unexpectedly on September 15, 2022. A memorial visitation will be held from 5 to 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, September 27 at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home in Marseilles. Masonic funeral rites will be performed at 6:45 p.m. at the funeral home followed by a memorial service at 7 p.m. with Rev. Duane Kaufman officiating. He will be laid to rest at Riverview Cemetery in Marseilles at a later date.

He was born on April 1, 1959, in Ottawa, to Arthur W. and JoAnn (Laatz) Hustis. Roger worked at the Ottawa Dental Laboratory for almost 40 years, beginning in 1983 and retiring in 2019. He held many roles during his time with the company and became a valuable asset to all who worked with him. Roger was a member of the Marseilles Masonic Lodge #417 AF & AM.

In his free time, Roger loved spending time outdoors on is property, especially enjoying bonfires and his friends. He was a skilled woodworker, an avid antiquer, and a huge fan of drag racing, and he was a member of the Martucky Motor Club. Roger was a kind and generous soul, who always would lend a hand to help, a shoulder to cry one, or hand you a beer and enjoy your company. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his girlfriend, Mary E. Hancock of Oglesby and his sister, Adele Anne Hustis of Chicago. He was preceded in death by his parents.
