LaSalle County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested three people for an allegedly burglary northeast of Ottawa. Sheriff Adam Diss says after sheriff’s deputies were called Sunday evening for a burglary in progress, the three found a vehicle with the three people inside it. Diss says they apperently sped away but didn’t get far because they crashed on E. Etna Rd. The three suspects fled the vehicle but were eventually caught by police. 47-year olds Randolph D. Jeffries and Shavonne L. Turner of Chicago and 23-year old Julie A. Lopez of Michigan City, IN are charged with residential burglary. Jefferies was also charged with armed violence. They were all taken to the LaSalle County Jail. Turner and Lopez have a $50,000 bond while Jefferies has a $200,000 bond with his extra charge. Diss says the incident remains under investigation. Sheriff’s deputies also got help from the Ottawa Police Department and Illinois State Police.
