Mendota, Princeton train stations affected by Amtrak cancellations

By WCMY News Sep 13, 2022 | 12:41 PM

There will be less train traffic through Mendota and Princeton for a while. Amtrak is cancelling California Zephyr runs, which stop in Princeton, and Southwest Chief runs, which stop in Princeton and Mendota. Both trains use the BNSF track.

Workers for BNSF and other rail companies appear headed for a strike Friday. Amtrak won’t be able to use CSX, BNSF, and Union Pacific tracks. To avoid stranding passengers later this week, Amtrak is already cancelling trips and refunding money.
