The bivalent COVID-19 vaccines are available through the LaSalle County Health Department. It’s offering the Moderna version for ages 18 and up on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The Pfizer version for ages 12 and up is available on Wednesdays. To get either, you have to make an appointment. The vaccines are aimed at the omicron BA.4 and BA.5 strains. LaSalle County is in the CDC’s low community spread level as of Thursday.
