The LaSalle City Council approved a special use permit Monday for the Nicks on Six restaurant which allows for an extra hour of music that can go up to 85 decibels. But former alderman “Diz” Demes says it’s still bothering him. He says he made ten calls to police between May 1st and July 3rd and filed a complaint about the noise because of how loud music was still being played after the time allowed in the city’s noise ordinance. However he did say the way his house is laid out; noise will get in no matter what.

But he’s also said that after the phone calls and filed complaint, the noise hasn’t been as bad.

However he didn’t want the council to approve concerts that will go into early fall. Business Owner Gary Hammers says he would like to continue concerts until the snow flies.

He also says that his businesses don’t have music during the weekday. The concerts are supposed to run Fridays and Saturdays from this weekend until the first weekend of October.
