The ground work has started for the new adult fitness court at Kiwanis Park in Ottawa. It’ll be on the north side of the park near the Shabbona School wall. City Commissioner Marla Pearson says the city consulted with the Kiwanis Club to decide where it’s going.
The city got a $50,000 grant from the National Fitness Campaign for the court. The city will add about $93,000 of its own money for it.
