The sixth Marseilles Renaissance Faire is this Saturday from 10am to 5pm near the baseball fields west of the Marseilles pool. It’s the first time in two years the faire has been held because of the pandemic. But it’s not like a typical summer carnival with bounce houses and parades. Tourism and Parks Committee Member Kathy Kocher says the event will have a lot of craft vendors. They include a person making leather tooling and taxidermists.
She also says there will be entertainment from a singing duo, a woman with dragon puppets, and two brothers who work with fire. Food like turkey legs, lemon shake-ups, and flavored popcorn will also be served. It’s free and open to the public. Everyone at the event will also be dressed up in clothing from that time period.
