The Illinois State Board of Education is allowing the Ottawa Elementary School District to serve free breakfast and lunch to all students this year. Supt. Michelle Lee says that means that all students will be able to received a hot lunch and breakfast every day. For more specific details, parents can call the district at 815-433-1133. Students who bring a sack lunch and want a carton of milk will still have to pay forty cents from their lunch account. Students are also reminded that although breakfast will be offered, they will not being able to bring it home like before. The announcement was posted on the district’s Facebook page.
